June Griff’s Flyover

The Excellence in Teaching Awards Event took place on Thurs., June 6.  The formal event took place at the Performing Arts Center from 6:00 to 8:00.  Several Seton Hill teaching faculty were honored and recognized for their outstanding service in the field of education.

Setonian Days are being held for incoming freshman throughout the summer at SHU.  These days allow incoming students to get a taste of Seton Hill, meet some of their upcoming classmates, go through orientation and participate in ice breakers.  The next Setonian Day will be held on Fri., June 14.

 The Writing Popular Fiction Workshop will take place from Thurs., June 27 to Sun., June 30.  The workshop, hosted once each year, brings together a large group of alumni and other writers.  There is a free, though registration is open to anyone interested.

The Little Hammers Outdoor Wrestling Tournament will be taking place on Sat., June 29 from 5:00 to 11:00 on the Dick’s Sporting Goods Field on campus.  The tournament includes a variety of ages, and SHU head wrestling coach Brian Tucker can be contacted for more information.  There is a small fee of $3-$5 for admission, and the SHU Wrestling and Wounded Warrior Project is sponsoring the event.
