I would like to publicly thank and congratulate all of the athletes and coaches involved with our women’s lacrosse team. First of all, congratulations on a tremendous season on the field! These women posted a 13-5 record in their first season of PSAC play and hosted a first round tournament game! The 13 wins is the most since Seton Hill became an official NCAA member. It was truly an exciting season, especially when your consider the extremely close losses to IUP, Gannon, and most recently the tough loss to West Chester in the tournament. I am confident that every member of the team will have a lifetime of memories from this season. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, I want to thank each and every one of you. I thank you because you all provided so many in our community with the reminder of what intercollegiate athletics are all about. Your commitment, dedication and passion that your team put on display during each game and practice was very obvious to anyone that watched. Your team chemistry, your grit and determination in the face of adversity was truly an inspiration. These lessons of hard work, teamwork, dealing with adversity, savoring success–large and small, and caring for one another are qualities that transcend the playing and practice field will last a lifetime.
Job well done! The future is truly bright for the women’s lacrosse program at Seton Hill.
