Mr. Grey will defend himself now

When some people hear about the book “50 Shades of Grey”, they tend to assume that it is all sex. While it is true that the book is filled with erotica, it is true to the plot of a very beautiful love story.

The book, “50 Shades of Grey,”written by E.L. James is about a woman, Anastasia Steele, who encounters a troubled man, Christian Grey, with a dark past. Throughout the story, Anastasia learns of Christian’s secret life; a man who thrives to be a dominant in BDSM.

Although Grey’s fetish scares Anastasia, she sees the good in him and tries to guide him towards what she believes to be a healthy sex life and a committed relationship to her.

At this point in the book, I began to look past all of the sex and focus in on the moral of the story; being there for someone you love.

Steele realizes Grey has an unhealthy obsession, but she is willing to keep an open mind, while helping him recover from his past and present troubles.

I do not think of “50 Shades of Grey” as a “sex-book.” After I completed the series, I realized it was a story of struggle and love. Once you get into the story, you realize that the sex scenes are crucial to the plot and development of characters.

This book is not meant to be a literary work of art. It is a love story that happened to capture audience’s attention worldwide, which created a huge phenomenon.

I am not afraid to say that I enjoy the “50 Shades of Grey”trilogy, because I look deeper into the story. The book is not about the sex, but the love, and I feel that is what a lot of people are confusing when discussing the book.

Come on guys; don’t judge a book by its cover. You may expose a beautiful message in a story that has been fairly criticized.
