Halloween is near, which means the time has come for haunted houses to return! For those who love being scared out of their wits, there are some haunted houses to keep in mind this year.
The Scare House
Located ten minutes outside of Pittsburgh in Etna, The Scare House is a unique and terrifying experience. The exact layout of the interior changes from year to year, meaning a different terror upon each new visit. This year, the scares include “The Summoning”, “Pittsburgh Zombies: Black Out!” and “Creepo’s Christmas in 3-D”. Should The Scare House prove underwhelming, try The Basemen.
The Basement in The Scare House
“You will be touched, restrained, and hooded. You will be tormented, challenged, and scared out of your mind.” This quote, found on the official website, is a warning to all who think they’re brave enough to try The Basement. The actors are allowed to touch guests and no one under the age of 18 is permitted to enter. This hellish nightmare is so terrifying that The Basement has a safeword: “Bunny”. Are you brave enough to enter? Tickets are limited, so visit the official website at www.scarehouse.com/tickets to secure yours tonight. Good luck.
Hundred Acres Manor
Located in Pittsburgh, Hundred Acres Manor spans over 1-mile of land to include a plethora of frights not for the feint of heart. Without spoiling too much, some of the more memorable aspects of the haunted house include chainsaw wielding fiends and an outdoor maze which you WILL get lost in. A new section was added this year, “Torture Tank”. Feeling up to the challenge? Go to http://www.hundredacresmanor.com/index.html for more information. Just don’t say I didn’t give fair warning…
