As the Seton Hill campus changes and becomes more beautiful with the autumn foliage, it is the perfect time to apply fall color trends to your makeup routine.
“I really like the makeup trends for this season. I love wearing bold lips, like dark brown or wine color. Even a black lip could be really cool,” said Autumn Reid, a senior political science major. Reid is a makeup artist who is active as a beauty blogger and youtuber.
“If you are going to do eyeliner, do a smoky eye instead of a cat eye or just mascara,” said Reid.
In fall 2014, the glamorous colors of orchid, red and royal blue are trendy. The bright colors help balance out the darker color choices.
Eyeliner tends to be a foreign concept for many people even though it is a cornerstone for most makeup designs. Reid recommends using a brush tip eyeliner.
“They say felt tip eyeliner is better for the flick that a lot people want, but I find it’s a lot easier if you just use a brush tip, a really skinny something can help control it,” said Reid.
“You really just have to practice, but the great thing about it being fall is that the trend for the eyeliner can be messy. You can smudge out any mistakes, It’s totally acceptable and on trend for this upcoming season,” said Reid.
