Team USA takes gold in curling, silver in bobsled and luge

The men’s USA curling team brought home Team USA’s first-ever curling gold medal with a score of 10-7 after competing against Sweden. Led by Phill Drobnick, the line up consisted of John Shuster, Typer George, Mat Hamilton, John Landsteiner and Joe Polo.

Elana Meyers Taylor and Lauren Gibbs took silver for women’s bobsledding, finishing with a time of 3:22.52. Meyers Taylor, pilot, defender her silver medal from the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Chris Madzder claimed the silver men in men’s single luge event with a time of 3:10.728. Madzder was 0.026 seconds behind David Gleirscher, who won gold for Austria.
