The highly anticipated novel by the best-selling author John Green was published at the end of the last year. “Turtles All the Way Down” tells the story of 16-year-old Aza Holmes who finds herself in the middle of trying to solve the mystery of the disappearance of a billionaire named Russell Picket. Alongside her best friend Daisy, Aza is going to embark on an adventure that promises to change her life forever. Green has an incredible ability to discuss important and deep matters without ever losing the sense of humor as well as allowing his readers to identify with each and every single one of his stories.

“Wild Beauty” by Anna-Marie McLemore
“Wild Beauty” by Anna-Marie McLemore tells the story of Estrella, a young woman who is a part of the Nomeolvides women. The Nomeolvides have tended to the garden of La Pradera for generations and they hide a dark secret: every man who they fall too deeply in love with, ends up vanishing. When Estrella meets Fel, a young man with a background as mysterious as hers, they team up in a journey that will change their lives forever as they discover more about themselves. This is the kind of book which is surrounded by mystery, but it also brings up the importance of hope and change.

“Milk and Honey” by Rupi Kaur
This book is a collection of poetry by Rupi Kaur, which talks about pain, loss, self-esteem, confidence and all kinds of love. Kaur has an incredible talent with words, which gives the reader the feeling that she knows them deeply. This is the kind of book that each and every young woman and man from all around the world should read at least once in their life.

“Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda” by Becky Albertalli
This stunning book about love and acceptance has been turned into a movie which is coming out March 16. It tells the story of 16-year-old Simon Spier who has kept a secret his whole life: he is gay. The only person who knows his secret is his email pen pal named Blue, until the class clown named Martin finds out his secret and starts to blackmail him. Now, Simon must learn about accepting himself and dealing with everything happening in his life. This is the kind of book which will make you laugh, maybe bring you to tears, but – in the end – it will make you feel what you’re thinking.

“A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J. Maas
This is the first book of a trilogy that is loosely based on “Beauty and the Beast.” It tells the story of Feyre, the youngest of three sisters, whose life was turned upside down when her father lost all of his fortune and her mother died. Now she must help her family by hunting and selling her captures in order to keep her family alive. However, when she kills a faerie disguised as a wolf, she is taken away to the faerie world as a punishment and must stay captive of Tamlin, the lord of the Spring Court. This is a powerful story about love, family and sacrifice.
