Marcia A. Pietrala, 53, a Seton Hill University (SHU) librarian died April 13, 2006. In her memory, Karissa Kilgore, Setonian staff writer, shares her experiences with Mrs. Pietrala:
I helped Mrs. Pietrala with the Reeves Memorial Library blog this past fall and got to know her.
At the time, I was on crutches since I had broken my foot, so I crutched over to the library to help her. She was so grateful. I helped her and we chatted all the while.

Marcia A. Pietrala, 53, a Seton Hill University (SHU) librarian died April 13, 2006. In her memory, Karissa Kilgore, Setonian staff writer, shares her experiences with Mrs. Pietrala:
I helped Mrs. Pietrala with the Reeves Memorial Library blog this past fall and got to know her. At the time, I was on crutches since I had broken my foot, so I crutched over to the library to help her. She was so grateful. I helped her and we chatted all the while.
She told me that liked the fact that I showed her exactly what to do with the blog instead of assuming that she knew what she was doing.
I�ll never forget the fact that she wrote me a letter about how helpful I was (which I still have). She brought the letter with a wooden basket full of chocolates directly to me in my room, since I was still on crutches.
I also got to work with Marcia as a resident teaching assistant. My �Thinking and Writing� class met at the library on several occasions for demonstrations and assistance with research tools.
Her patience is unmatched, since she dealt with less-than-willing students in a graceful manner.
Her passion for helping students and for furthering Reeves Library was an asset to all our lives, especially as students.
I will personally miss her help in obtaining Inter-Library Loans.
Marcia was a very kind-spirited woman whom I am proud to have known.
Surely the SHU community will miss her. I know she�ll be looking down on us.
