I know what it is like to be so busy with work that there is no time to cook or go out for some good food, and I am sure that most of you do, too. As college students sometimes its just as important to know about the best places to get delivery as it is to know how to write a resume. So in honor of those busy, jam-packed schedules I am devoting my first review of the year to one of the best-tasting, fresh, and creative places in town that delivers.

Mr. Bones is located just up the hill from Seton Hill University on Main St. in Greensburg. They have been around for quite some time but have just had a change of ownership and a rejuvenated menu that includes fresh ingredients, amazing recipes, and out of this world specials that every busy college student needs to try. Now, Mr. Bones is not your typical sit-down place since they mainly cater to take-out, but if you do happen to find the time to get away from the scenery of your room and the glare of your computer light, you can always stop in and enjoy their outdoor patio the Boneyard or eat inside at one of the bistro-style tables. They have been getting ready for the fall and will be equipping the patio with outdoor heat lamps so, for those of us that love to take in the fresh air with our meals, we can enjoy it while it lasts.
They have a variety of sandwiches, subs, salads, pizza, wings, and more that you can order for delivery, pick-up, or eat-in. When it comes to eating out most of us have to watch what we spend, lucky for us college students the average cost of a meal from Bone’s is less than a typical restaurant.
The average prices range from $3.99 to $6.25. The food is fast, but it is most certainly not fast food.
When I entered Mr. Bones I was greeted by a very nice woman standing behind the counter. She asked if she could help and I told her that I would like to look at the menu first.
There were many choices and I wanted to get a good idea of what the different offerings were, so I ordered a small pizza and two different sandwiches (I had a friend to help with the eating). We sat inside at one of the bistro tables and waited for our food. It didn’ttake very long before the woman brought our food out to our table.
My first choice was a turkey cranberry sandwich. It was served on whole grain bread with lettuce, tomato, and a delicious cranberry nut spread that complimented the smoked turkey and swiss.
The Italian sub was filled with salami, hot capicola, baked ham, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, mild pepper rings, and topped with a savory Italian dressing. The bread was toasty and hot and bite after bite I was in mangia heaven.
The pizza had a slightly chunky sauce and plenty of cheese with a crust that had just the right amount of crisp to it.
Mr. Bones is a great place to visit if your looking for a quiet and friendly atmosphere to spend some time with friends, order some food, and take a break from all the due dates looming in your planner.
