Family owned and operated, Jioio’s Restaurant is a great alternative to the dining hall for students at Seton Hill University (SHU). It is located on 939 Carbon Road, just minutes from campus. Another location is located just up the road in Latrobe, Pa.
The restaurant is a relaxed family atmosphere that reflects a stress free environment and a great place for college students to enjoy after a week of classes and assignments.

Jioio’s has the best pizza in the world. The thin crust pizza is a combination of sweet and crispy which excites all areas of the palate. I had the privilege to try Jioio’s pizza my freshman year, and I fell in love.
Unfortunately, every time I have visited Jioio’s my friends and I have ordered the pizza and have not had the opportunity to try any of the menu options. I can predict that their menu is delicious based on my experience with the pizza. They have a variety of dinner specials every night for non-pizza fans.
During my last visit with friends, I ordered a slice of homemade pumpkin pie to go. The next day I was able to enjoy the cooked to perfection pie.
I recommended that when you visit Jioio’s, you take a lot of friends with you because the pizza is so addicting you might eat an entire pizza in one sitting. When my friends and I go, the six of us will order two large pizzas, one cheese and one vegetable, and no leftovers remain after our dinner.
The only downside I have experienced at Jioio’s is the limited parking, especially on a Friday or Saturday evening. I recommend going earlier in the evening, or taking advantage of their take-out services. They also do not deliver, so one must make arrangements to get there.
Jioio’s is one of the places I will miss in Greensburg after I graduate in May. Luckily, through the Latrobe location, I can receive mail-ordered pizza!
I urge everyone to take a trip to Jioio’s the next time they are in the mood for something different and a have hankering for pizza.
