Finals can be difficult. With the many tests that are being given to us right after break, it’s hard to figure out how to study for each one and how to balance your time. Here are a few tips that could help you with those intimidating exams.

-During the test take some deep breaths. It can calm you down and helps relax your body.

-Don’t rush! Go back to double check your answers!

-Make a study guide with pretty colored pens or highlighters. They’ll help you remember certain information.

-Prioritize; put your most important tasks first to make sure they get done first!

-Take care of yourself. Make sure to eat and drink some water during and breaks between studying.

-Make sure to find time for yourself; don’t get too caught up in studying.

-Go to a place where you can relax and concentrate.

-Be sure to get plenty of rest. When it’s 2 a.m. and you’re fighting to keep your eyes open, don’t! You’ll feel better after you get some rest.

-Balance out your time; sometimes a quick ten minute break after studying or working for several hours is good. However, make it a productive break like going outside for a walk or playing an interactive game. Try to avoid social media, as this can lead to further distractions, and next thing you know, your break turned into an hour.

-Play some soft music to elevate your studying and help you focus.

-Say a quick prayer, meditate or even have some quiet time for yourself.

-Keep in mind that break is right around the corner! You’re so close to the finish line, almost there!

-You’ve been preparing all semester for this, you know what you’re doing, now go do it!

Good luck during finals week!
