Late this afternoon Admin experienced three fire alarms. The first was due to a water flow leak in the sprinkler system, according to the chief of campus police. The local fire department came to find the cause.
Shortly after they left, the head of campus security pulled the alarm due to a smoke smell in the hall and that was believed to be gas or smoke. After the firemen returned, it was mentioned that the smell may have been coming from the firemen’s bunker gear.
Because of the smell of smoke, the alarm was pulled the third time. The chief of campus police said they would rather “be safe than sorry.” Maintenance is currently looking in to what the cause of the water flow leak.
