The Seton Hill University women’s soccer team is looking for its fourth straight win as they take on Edinboro University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday. The game starts at 3 p.m. on Dick’s Sporting Goods Field, and the women are also looking to defend their undefeated record at home.
With three games left in the season, the Griffins currently hold a record of 10-4-1. According to Seton Hill Athletics, this is the most for a women’s soccer team since the 2012 team finished with a record of 10-7-1.
“We are still working towards completing our goal to make the PSAC playoffs for the first time,” said Head Coach Andy McNab. “Once that is confirmed, we can look towards a potential postseason matchup.”
Junior forward Emily LoPresti currently leads both her team and the PSAC with 30 points and 14 goals. On Monday, she was named PSAC Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week.
After Edinboro, the Griffins will travel to Kutztown University on Saturday at 1 p.m. and then return for their final game of the season against Clarion University on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m.
“At the moment, we are focusing on one game at a time; it is all you can do when you are playing so many tough conference games,” McNab said. “The team knows what it has to do to be successful and to reach our goals and everyone is focused for the last few games.”
