“Spring break is a time to get away from school, away from the stress and just relax and chill with old friends,” said Juli Banda, a junior. Two movies you have to check out, in honor of chilling out this Spring are, the oldie “Eurotrip” and the newbie “Miss March.”

“Eurotrip” directed by Jeff Schaffer in 2004, is an energetic adult comedy about recent high school graduate, Scott “Scotty” Thomas, played by Scott Mechlowicz, and his friends experience during their wild trip across Europe. After Scotty gets dumped by his cheating girlfriend Fiona, Scott’s online German pen pal, Mieke wants them to meet up. She says she will fly to America and they can “arrange a meeting” but Scotty does not know Mieke is a girl.

Scotty’s best friend, Cooper Harris, played by Jacob Pitts, had previously convinced Scotty that, not only is Mieke a boy, but “he” is an online creep who wants to have Scotty as a boyfriend. Remembering this, Scotty tells Mieke never to contact him again.

The next day, Scotty’s little brother, Bert informs his brother that Mieke is a common German girl’s name. Scotty had mistaken her for her boy cousin in a picture Mieke had sent. Mieke, a beautiful blond, reads Scotty’s dismissive email and blocks his address. Scotty realizes he has a crush on Mieke and she could even be “The One.”

In order to right his wrongs, Scotty flies to Berlin with Cooper and through a series of misadventures they sing their way out of a bar fight in London, duel as robots in Paris, and don’t want to talk about what happened in Amerstdam. They meet up with old friends in France and get chased by men at Crans Sur Mer’s nude beach.

When they finally do get to Berlin, Mieke has left with a summer program touring in Rome so Scotty, Cooper, and their fraternal twin friends Jamie, played by Travis Wester, and Jenny, played by Michelle Trachtenberg, are off again. Will they ever find Mieke? Will she forgive Scotty? What happens after vacation?

“Eurotrip” is a hilarious and vulgar film that depicts the spring break ideals of teenage fun times and mischief on vacation in Europe. What is a better way to spend break than traveling to exotic places where beautiful beaus speak languages of love and the drinking age is only 16?

Maybe finding out that your ex-girlfriend has become the centerfold for the famous “Playboy” magazine. In “Miss March”, directed by Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore, virgin Eugene Bell, played by Zach Cregger, believes in abstinence, but his girlfriend, Cindi Whitehall, played by Raquel Alessi, feels she’s ready now. After pressuring Eugene, Cindi finally agrees to wait until prom night.

On said night, Eugene’s best friend, Tucker Cleigh, played by Trevor Moore, notices Eugene is nervous and gets his friend drunk to loosen him up. In his intoxicated trance, Eugene falls down a flight of stairs and into a four-year coma.

When he awakens, his best friend informs him that his once innocent girlfriend is now a Playboy bunny. Eugene and Trevor cross the country in order to crash a Playboy mansion party and convince Cindi to give Eugene a second chance.

“Miss March” opened in theaters nationwide on March 13. The Motion Picture Association of America rated these films R for crude and sexual content, nudity, strong language, and drug and alcohol content.
