- Go to sleep at the same time and wake up at the same time daily.
- Keep caffeine and glucose intake to a minimum.
- Have a light carbohydrate such as crackers, pop corn, toast, pretzels at bedtime, or have a cup of Chamomile tea.
- Avoid sleep aids like Tylenol PM–They do not promote normal sleep patterns and have a lingering effect.
- If you are having trouble sleeping at night do NOT nap during the day.
