Im looking forward to celebrating the Christmas season with my new amazing friends, said Meredith Harber, freshman.
The evening will begin in Lowe Dining Hall. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.
It’s the best food youll eat in the dining hall all year, said Amianne Labuda, junior.
The food services staff also puts great effort into decorating the hall, said Steel. They put in hours and hours for weeks and weeks at a time, and the dining hall looks fantastic when theyre done.
This year’s dinner, according to Steel, will be much nicer than last year’s with new furniture now in place in the dining hall. It should be a lot less crowded, said Steel.

THERE WILL BE MASS WHICH FOLLOWS DINNER,
AND WILL BE RIGHT BEFORE THE
CHRISTMAS ON THE HILL DANCE

A candlelit mass in St. Joseph’s Chapel follows the dinner.
The dance will begin in Cecilian Hall at 9:00 p.m. It generally lasts until 1:00 a.m.
The DJ who provided music for last year’s Christmas on the Hill and this year’s Foam Dance has been hired by the Seton Hill Government Association (SHGA) for this year’s celebration.
SHGA also takes on the responsibility to decorate Cecilian Hall for the dance, spending hours on the task. One of the second-floor parlors in the administration building will be decorated for photographs, and SHGA has hired a photographer.
Christmas on the Hill has seen few changes over the years, but the university’s switch to a co-ed campus has brought its greatest change in recent memory.
We have males of our own now, besides the ones that the girls bring as guests, said Steel, who anticipates few changes to the event.
