As the warm weather finally comes back around to visit us, a fuzzy memory about spring-cleaning may begin to surface in the back of our mind. It is likely that throughout these past winter months you have managed to hide small piles of clothes under your bed.
You know, the “summer” clothes you “put away” so you would not have to lament the freezing air outside?
Well, now is the perfect time to dig out those warm-weather outfits and chase away the Monty Python dust bunnies running amok under your bed or in your closets! There are typically two ways in which you can clean any given room: the thorough way in which you clean every surface, or the easy way that involves only cleaning what is visible.
Whichever method of cleaning you are more inclined to use, watch out if you need a pair of rubber gloves or a gas mask to accomplish your task.
But if you feel that cleaning your room might be an impossible task (or if your room is already clean), there are more areas to be scoured of dust or dirt. Common areas of the dorms can always use a quick spin around the main section to see if any items need to be pitched into the garbage. The communal living room, bathroom, and shower areas of individual suites may also be due for a good cleaning. It may seem gross to some, but that is why rubber gloves were invented.
Then again, if you live off-campus in your own apartment or house, not only do you have more places to clean, but also you have the opportunity to get more exercise at the same time. So put on your favorite music, grab a roll of paper towels, pick up your cleaner of preference and get ready to show the dust bunnies who is the boss.
