Two freshman students at Seton Hill University (SHU), are planning a new Service Saturday project where other SHU students will have the opportunity to do some community service every Saturday during Lent starting March 12.
After “Take the Day On,” honor students Katelyn Snyder and Adrienne Bracken were so touched by the people they helped and the service they did they went to Maureen O’Brien to get their idea approved. The plan is to help out at one of the following five locations each of the five Saturdays of Lent: Caritas, Christi, St. Emma’s Monastery, St. Vincent de Paul Store, Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry and Welcome Home Shelter.
