Seton Hill University (SHU) celebrated the annual Crib Ceremony in the Greensburg Room Courtyard on Tuesday. The ceremony celebrates the birth of Jesus and the Christmas holiday. Christmas songs, Bible verses and SHU students dressed up as the most important figures during Jesus’ time of birth comprised the majority of the event. Each students held lit candles during the ceremony, and the students joined in singing as well.
Freshman students Katie Gammon and Stephanie Snyder attended the event for the first time together. Both expressed joy over being able to go to the Crib Ceremony.
“It was a really nice event to bring together the SHU community at the holidays,” said Gammon.
“I thought it was the prefect start to the holiday season at college,” she said.
The event was hosted by the officers for the Class of 2015.
