Fall fashion combines bland with a pop

Preparing for a new season is easy- if you have the right look. If you are searching for new items for your closet, start with updating your wardrobe for this season. As fashion changes to the adjustment of temperature, so do the clothes.  This fall the runways are producing bland colors but with the right amount of added pop make outfits look classy.

The runways are covered with more manly clothes including: long plaid pea coats, hats and even shorter scarves. Pants seem to be in a plethora of colors at all major department stores. Whether it is grey, maroon, hunter green or brown you can easily pair these with a plain tee or a buttoned up shirt.

Dressy clothes become edgier this fall; including well-fitted articles of clothing but as the designers say “not too tight”. Say goodbye to black because for this season designers are putting models into soft pinks and blush colored dresses.

With the bland colors for fall 2012 try taking an accessory to make the color pop! Whether it is a new necklace or a pair of high leather boots you can easily take something drab to fab! No, but really, outfits for this autumn need it.

Infintiy scarves are back and booming! Try a cozy look for walking to class in an oversized sweater and pairing it with one of these warm, knit scarves. For pants in this outfit it can be quite simple—try a neutral color of leggings with tall brown or black boots to polish off the look! Perfect for a chilly fall day.

Black, white, taupe, and more than fifty shades of grey can be seen on anyone in this season. Just remember if you are taking out that neutral and some color to brighten your style on such a chilly day.
