Once again, the Student Activities Council (SAC) featured their annual February Funnies events. They featured comedians Nore Davis, M Dickson and Hal Sparks.
“I liked going to see the comedians because it was something to do on a Saturday night,” said freshman Courtney Seibert. “Hal Sparks was definitely my favorite. I remember watching him on VH1 and getting to meet him afterwards was fantastic.”
“Oh my gosh, he was just so funny. Like, he was hilarious and my friends and I were dying,” said junior Jackie Yanchuck. “He’s so animated and his facial expressions are great.”
Junior Steve Bumbarger was part of the planning committee for the February Funnies. He is a member of SAC. “We decided on a theme, sold T-Shirts and decided which comedians we were having. We also did setup, met with the performers beforehand, ran sound and made sure the venue was appropriate, along with many other tasks.”
Students interested in finding out more about SAC and their events are encouraged to attend meetings at 5:00pm on Thursdays in Admin 405.
“We love getting new faces and having students get involved with what is happening around campus all year round. So feel free to come out and talk to us about what you liked on campus and what you would like to see in the future,” said Bumbarger.
