Model U.N. Team Excels

The Seton Hill Model United Nations (Model U.N.) team participated in the National Model United Nations event in New York City from March 29 to April 3. 

Model U.N. is an education simulation where students practice as delegates; debating global issues to learn diplomacy, negotiation, and international relations. Participants research topics, present positions, and draft resolutions to solve complex problems, developing critical skills in public speaking, teamwork, and leadership.  

The team consisted of Libby Gallagher, Georgia Williams, Gloria Mabiala, Nikolas Weinzen, Alina Pan, Jacob Havrilesko, where they represented the delegation of Mexico at the event. 

The team presented multiple speeches and worked on draft resolutions to solve obstacles in their committees. The team took home the Outstanding Delegation Award and Libby Gallagher received the award for Outstanding Delegate. Anyone who is interested should look to attend meetings in the fall.
