Campus features award winning film

A Sundance award-winning film about a Pittsburgh graphic art student’s foreign journey will be shown in select locations and theaters nationwide, including Seton Hill University (SHU).

“Blood Brother” features the tale of Rocky Braat’s trek to India where he became motivated to help young AIDs and HIV-afflicted natives.

Fellow classmates and close friends Steve Hoover and Danny Yourd decided to honor and support Braat’s decision to move to India by creating the documentary. All proceeds will go to a fund to help build hostels with skilled and qualified staff for the children.

The film will be shown on Oct. 19 at 8:00 p.m. in the Carol Ann Reichgut Performance Hall. There is a $12 charge for general admission, followed by a $7 charge for students and a $5 charge for Seton Hill students, faculty and staff.

For more information, contact David Sykut or visit the event page under the Happenings Tab on Griffin’s Lair. Updates will be posted as the event draws closer, including an interview with Hoover and Yourd.
