Music on Campus

By: Alex Misner

(GREENSBURG, Pa.) – When words fail, music says everything that we struggle to convey. It expresses the feelings that cannot be described and the moments in life that are too precious to limit to just a series of phrases. For many college students, music is not only a means of expression but is an escape from life’s problems and responsibilities.

According to many students at Seton Hill, pop music is what they choose to listen to in order to help them wind down from class, as well as feel motivated to complete assignments.

When people listen to music, they support the artist they are listening to and can tell a lot about that artist’s thoughts and feelings based on the lyrics they write and the instruments they implement.
